Leaving the Wood Snake Behind and Entering the Fire Horse

Every year eventually asks to be interpreted. We look back searching for coherence trying to understand why certain months felt heavy, why change seemed to happen internally long before anything came to the surface.

The Lunar New Year offers a framework for that reflection. Unlike the Western January reset, which celebrates reinvention, the lunar calendar suggests life moves in cycles of preparation and expression. Some years are meant for visible action, while others are meant for invisible transformation.

The closing of the 2025 Wood Snake year belongs firmly to the latter category. And the arrival of the Fire Horse signals the end of that inward phase, a movement from cultivation into motion, and from private realization into lived change.
